She is the president of the Catholic Daughters, a sorority on campus that focuses on charity work and sisterhood. Leung said, “There are actually many Christians at UO even though it’s a very liberal university. We get a bad rap a lot of the time, but most of us are open-minded and passionate about social justice.”
Erica Leung enjoys kickboxing at the UO Student Recreation Center. She took a kickboxing class during one of her final terms at the university, and she has been hooked ever since. Working out makes Leung feel powerful and strong. “I like to imagine the punching bag is someone who I really don’t like,” said Leung.
